Croton Yacht Club 

Ray Clifford, a member of the club works for Salute America's Heroes, an organization supporting veterans as they return home from war.  They assist in help funding any gaps in pay, help with any re-training, lobby the department of defense, etc.

Ray has a friend who is a major in the AirForce and flys an F-16.  As a favor to Ray, this gentlemen brings flags in his cockpit on his missions.  We are VERY fortunate to have some of these flags at the club.

As of April 06, 2005, the United States Flag flying over our club was also flown over Baghdad on a bombing mission in an F-16. 

Thank you Ray and thank you to your friend and his colleagues.  We're very fortunate to enjoy a life of freedom and we're spoiled by the beauty of the Hudson.  Without the protection from our military, we wouldn't have the joys and freedom that boating gives us. 

When you boat past this flag, give it a second look and take a moment to remember those who are out there protecting our way of life.
